Greenfly
-
For greenfly on roses use something
weaker. Cut up three pounds of rhubarb leaves; boil for half an hour in
three quarts of water, and strain.
-
When cool dissolve an ounce of soap
flakes in a quart of water, mix the two and use as a general spray for
any aphis.
-
It can also be made with three pounds of
elder leaves, and this mixture was used in the past as a spray against
mildew on roses and lettuces.
